Frequently asked questions

We are located in Pool Street, the main shopping street of Caernarfon, a short walk from the bus stop and car park.

 

A multi storey pay and display car park is conveniently located nearby, please allow 60-90 minutes. Pool Street is open as a drop off point until 11am and re-opens at 4.30pm. On-street parking is for short term only and is not advised.

 

The practice is open from 8:50am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 9:15am on Tuesday. Our last appointment slot is at 4:30pm.

We have allocated emergency appointment slots, please enquire for more details. Dilation drops may be necessary, if required we advise you not to drive for 2-3 hours. Please arrange suitable transport.

We have three experienced Welsh speaking optometrists that have been with the practice for many years.

The eye examination takes around 30 minutes although further investigation may be needed through Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) and/or the Ultra-wide Retinal Image (wide field retina picture). The optometrist will conduct a health and prescription check. You will be issued with a copy of your prescription for your own records at the end of the sight test
